  Bay Harrington:

  Party, party, party!

My life was one big party after another, with maybe a semester of school in between.

I was the typical spoiled rich brat, I had money and looks and not a care in the world.

When I went to Dublin, I expected to have a couple hot flings with even hotter men I didn’t know, then head back home and continue my studies.

What I didn’t expect was to run smack dab into the arms of my former stepbrother, the man who’d crushed my heart.

And what I didn’t expect was to find myself needing his help.

  And then needing him…

  Marcus O’Sullivan:

It will be fun, they said.

A couple guys from my law firm talked me into celebrating winning my first big case by taking a weekend away for a concert in Dublin.

I figured I’d bang a local, hear some good music, and get back to the firm to keep working my ass off to make junior partner before I left my twenties.

I never figured I’d run into the one girl in the world who could leave me speechless and full of frantic lust.

And I didn’t figure that she would end up needing me as much as I’d always needed her.

  Bay

I smoothed down the dress and turned in front of the full length mirror to assess the entire look.

  And it was good.

I wasn’t just being vain for no reason, I worked hard to look like this. Hours of sweating in the gym, turning down desserts, running every morning before school.

It all paid off at times like this, when I saw the little black dress clinging to my every curve.

  “Bay, hurry up!”

The girls from school were waiting for me in the living area of our private suite in the castle.

I still couldn’t believe we’d gotten a chance to stay here, but Sarah knew Veronica who knew Grace who was Janie’s bestie at school. Janie had been the ultimate hook up.

Not only that though, we were holding VIP tickets that meant no lines and swag and the possibility of meeting the band.

I wasn’t as big a fan as my friends, but the excitement of such an amazing experience wasn’t lost on me.

I knew I was holding them up, but I didn’t care. I had to look good, I had to get myself hot enough to land some sexy stud for the night.

I didn’t really care who it was, I just needed something to take my mind off finals coming up in a couple months and graduation after that.

I wasn’t looking for anything serious, but being here at the concert in Ireland meant I could find myself some guy with an accent and a nice, big…smile.

Where did you think I was going with that, you perv?

I just wanted to have some fun. I deserved to have some fun.

And my girls were going to make sure I had a good time, that was kind of our M.O.

“Bay, seriously! We’re going to miss Blackthorn!”

Sarah sounded pissed off. She was chomping at the bit to get out the door, she had some serious lady boner for the Black brothers from Blackthorn.

I got it, they were next level hotness but I had my sights set lower.

Just somebody with an accent and a thick…set of arms.

Seriously, what did you think I was going to say?

“I want to see Conor Byrne,” Jen yelled. “If I miss out on him I am going to fucking lose it!”

I finally applied my last layer of lipstick, blazing red, and grabbed my purse.

I sauntered out on my three inch knee high black leather boots and posed dramatically. I held out my arms and said, “Ta-daaaa!”

Jen had a chocolate covered strawberry in her hand and stopped with it just in front of her lips.

  Both of them looked surprised.

  “What?” I asked.

“You. Look. AMAZING!” Sarah squealed! “Like, oh my god, I can’t believe how hot that dress looks on you!”

“And those boots!” Jen added, taking a bite of the strawberry.

“Hey, where’d you get that? I’m starving,” I said, eyeballing her treat.

“Janie left a gift basket, it’s on the table.”

I found another strawberry and some wine and a note that read, “Hello darling! Welcome to Dublin! I hope you have the BEST time. Hope to catch up, but I'm busy as balls, so if we don't, know that I love you. Enjoy the castle, and the show! xx.”

“She is so nice,” I told Sarah as I gobbled the last berry. “But is she going to be okay with all three of us staying in here?”

“It’s technically supposed to just be me, but we can all share the bed. It’s big enough for all of us,” Sarah replied.

“What if I meet somebody?” I asked, raising my eyebrow.

“Well you’re definitely going to meet somebody,” Jen laughed. “Especially with that dress. But you’ll have to settle for banging in a bathroom or something, like the rest of us.”

“Ew, nasty,” Sarah said, seemingly scandalized but loving the imagery. “I might just be banging in the tour bus if I get my way.”

We finally left for the concert, our cab was waiting for us downstairs, and the excitement was catchy enough that our driver was even singing along when Blackthorn came on the radio in the car.

We were three best friends, Sarah the red head, Jen the blonde, and me the brunette…and we were going to get lucky in Dublin on St. Patrick’s Day.

I could feel it in my bones.

It was going to be one heck of a fabulous night.

“Put down your phone, for fuck’s sake,” Bryce yelled at me for the tenth time at dinner. “Business can wait. We told the office we’re gone for three days, they know better than to interrupt us here.”

I kept tapping rapidly at my screen, desperately getting the last of the instructions for my overwhelmed assistant sent before Bryce or James grabbed my phone and hid it from me for the night.

I couldn’t help myself though, I was a workaholic. I was so driven to become the firm’s youngest junior partner that it was tough for me to take a step back and relax.

Not when I knew there was work to be done, and not when I knew my biggest rival, Todd Simpkins, was still back home working all weekend.

“Okay, okay, I’m done!” I said at last as I hit send on the text. I held up my phone and said, “See? I’m powering it off now.”

The screen went black and I got back to my dinner.

We were dining at the hotel before we headed to the music f
estival. Bryce had talked us into it after we wrapped up one of the biggest antitrust cases in our firm’s history and had brought in a ton of good press and a huge win.

“You’re making me feel guilty for not working,” James said and cut his steak. “Shit, I’ve had my phone off all day. The office could have burned down and I wouldn’t know about it until Tuesday morning.”

“That is what I want you to do,” Bryce said and reached for my phone. Before I had a chance to hide it from him, he got it and shoved it into his backpack. “No phones. This is prime pussy season. We’re in Ireland, it’s St. Patrick’s Day and all those girls are going to be horny from dancing to Blackthorn. Take advantage of it, dude. You need to get laid.”

I shook my head and tried to come up with a counter argument, but he was right.

It was the perfect weekend to have a fling, and it was something I needed.

“Fine, counsellor,” I chuckled. “Your case is solid. I’m going to die of blue balls if I don’t bust a nut sometime in the next few hours.”

“There’s my boy,” James laughed and held his hand up for a high five.

I smacked his hand even though I thought about leaving him hanging for a couple minutes.

But I wanted to get to my booze more than I wanted to see his face when I pranked him.

I was in full on pussy hunter mode now, this meant drinking, getting to the concert and finding myself a hot Irish girl to bang for the night.

We finished our dinner and called a cab. The driver sang along to his Blackthorn CD as we headed for the music venue and we got hyped up as he regaled us with descriptions of the hot girls he’d been taking out there all night.

We stumbled out of the car and headed to the arena where the line up wrapped around the block and then some.

“Fuck, too bad it was late for the VIP castle treatment,” Bryce complained as we waited in line like the rest of the peasants. It started to rain, just a drizzle but it was enough to have James freaking out about his hair.

“My hair is going to get flat,” he whined for the tenth time in as many minutes. “It’s supposed to look like one of the Black brother’s and none of them have flat hair.”

“Jesus, listen to you two,” I laughed. “We’re lucky to even have tickets. General admission is fine, we’ll mill around in front of the stage, drink beer and meet chicks. We’re not really here for the music anyways.”

I turned and looked at James. “Dude, you worry too much about your hair. I heard somewhere that the more product you use in it, the better your chances of going bald.”

His face twisted into an expression of horror and he reached up to touch his hair. “Duuuuuuude! Why didn’t you tell me this before?”

I set my face to stone and looked him in the eye, but I couldn’t keep it up much longer. I burst into laughter and said, “Damn, James…you should have seen your face!”

“He got you there, asshole,” Bryce laughed loudly. “And yeah, your face dude!”

“You guys are assholes,” James replied but he had to laugh.

Just then three girls a few feet back started talking loudly and laughing, as if they wanted us to notice them.

Of course they wanted us to notice them.

“Hey, ladies,” I said, nodding towards them. Bryce and James turned and said hello.

We gestured for them to come up and join us, and even though everybody in between grumbled and bitched about it, they did.

Felicia, Bonnie and Trixie were Irish, beautiful, and halfway to drunk.

  Exactly how I liked them.

The night was going to be awesome.

“Conor is soooooo dreamy,” Sarah said and held her hands to her heart. “Oh my god, he’s even hotter in person.”

We’d used our VIP passes to get past the huge line up outside and straight into the VIP lounge behind the stage.

We hadn’t seen the Black brothers yet, but we’d been sitting about ten feet away from Conor Byrne for about the last five minutes and holy Hannah, he was hot.

Not totally my type, he was a little too dreamy for me. A little too into his guitar and love songs I guess.

His performance had been incredible though and while we’d been out there in front of the stage, it had been pure magic.

Now that it was over and we were waiting for the headliner, the magic had passed and we were getting even drunker on the free wine they were giving out in the VIP lounge.

It wasn’t that I wasn’t a romantic, but I preferred kind of a cocky bastard. A real alpha jerk who could stand up to me and ignore my shit when he needed to.

And somebody who could throw me over his shoulder and fuck me hard when I needed it.

Who I needed was somebody I thought I’d once had, but he was off limits.

Besides, he’d dumped me hard and I hadn’t seen him since.

It had been several years, but on nights like this when I wanted to meet somebody for some fun I couldn’t help but admit that I was looking for somebody like him.

But he wasn’t here, and I was.

And so were a few gorgeous guys with amazing accents who were now starting to circle Sarah and me and Jen.

“Have you ever slept with an Irish dude?” Sarah asked, leaning close to where we were sitting on the couch. She was seated on a velvet footstool facing Jen and I.

“No, but I think that’s going to change tonight,” I grinned and sipped my wine. “It’s the accent, I think it’s going to drive me wild. I want to get somebody to say my name.”

“I’m going to get mine to tell me dirty things,” Sarah whispered and giggled. “I’m not as crazy as you though, Bay. You have to tell me some really really naughty things for him to say.”

“I’m pretty crazy too,” Jen said with a pout. “Tell him to grab your tits and smack your ass.”

“Grab me tits and smack me ass,” Sarah said in a really terrible Irish accent.

I started to laugh so hard I could barely breath and my friends joined in.

It was probably the wine we’d been drinking but it was hilarious listening to them trying to sound like sexy Irish girls.

“You guys sound more like demented leprechauns,” I snorted. “There’s no way that’s what an Irish accent sounds like.”

“Teach us, then! Tell us your slutty secrets,” Sarah begged. “You always get the guys! They follow you like bees after honey.”

“Pffft you guys are crazy,” I said and shook my head. “There’s no secret formula. Not caring and not wanting a relationship is probably my magic bullet.”

And it was true, I wasn’t ever looking for anything serious and it seemed to give off a vibe.

And it usually made guys really needy. They had this obsession to make me want them and it never worked.

  And it never would again.

Not after my heart had been shattered when I was seventeen. I wouldn’t trust another man again.

“Whatever, we’ll just use you as the bait to lure the hotties close to us,” Jen said with a grin.

“Maybe when I get back from the washroom. I have to pee like crazy,” I said and stood up. My VIP pass got tangled in my long, thick, dark hair and I tugged at it to pull it free.

“Shit,” I cursed and it was tangled. I had to almost tear it out of my hair, but it finally pulled free.

I tossed it to Sarah and said, “Hang onto this until I’m back. Gawd, I’ll end up bald by the end of the night if it keeps getting stuck.”

“Yeah, for sure,” she replied and shoved it into her purse. “Safe keeping.”

“Thanks,” I said and went in search for the washroom.

I walked out of the lounge and read a sign pointing to washrooms down a long, white hall. It was brightly lit and a little disconcerting compared to the mellow lighting of the lounge area.

I looked around for another sign and arrows pointing to the washrooms, but found nothing.

There were three grey metal doors at the end of the hall
way, I tried the first but it was locked…so was the second.

The third opened though, I pushed and tumbled out into a spot just behind the stage.

I looked around and saw roadies setting up for Blackthorn. They were running back and forth carrying equipment and props and nobody even looked at me.

I turned back to the door and tried to open it but it wouldn’t budge. It had locked from the outside once I’d passed through.

“Fuck,” I muttered and searched for a way back in. I saw a security guard standing near an open door and walked to his side. I looked up and said, “I’m lost. How do I get back in?”

“Where’s your pass?” he said, not even looking down at me.

“I left it in the VIP lounge,” I replied.

“Sure, you and the last three hundred girls who have tried to get back there.”

“Oh my god, I’m with Janie’s group from the US. I’m legit, I just took it off because it was getting stuck in my hair and I was looking for the washroom.”

“They’re over that way,” he said and nodded across the stage to the other side of the arena.

“No, I’m serious. I have to get back there,” I wailed and squeezed my legs together. Man, I really had to pee.

  “Not gonna happen,” he replied.

“What if I text my friends and get them to meet me here?”

“That would work. As long as you have your VIP pass.”

“I have to use the washroom and I’ll be right back. Stay here!”

“I’m not going anywhere,” he said humorlessly.
